Weekend

Saturday was fun!  Kayla and her two daughters came to see us.  We played games, we talked, and we laughed.  I enjoyed them so much.  Kayla brought this new nail polish system.  So she did my nails.  They are purple and oh so pretty!  It is easy.  You file your nails, make sure the polish is off your nails, buff them, put the sticker on, and then file off the excess.  Hers are flowered and very cute!
Kayla was pleased when she saw how well I am doing.  She assessed me on Sunday and gave me some more exercises.  We all went out to eat lunch together.  It was my first field trip since I came home from the hospital.  It was wonderful to get out.  Kayla and the girls had to leave.  I was so happy they came.  We had a quiet evening.  Both Saturday and Sunday nights, Rusty, the big red dog went to his crate and would not come upstairs at bedtime.  Ken tried to coax him with a treat, but it didn't work.  Really odd!
Mom and Bob are on the road again.  They left shortly after Ken went to work.  The house was very quiet today.  I did some hand embroidery - one set is complete and I have started another.  I watched some programs that had been DVRd.  Then I went upstairs an slept about 3 hours this afternoon.  A very lazy day.  In between resting I did talk to Haley, Kayla, Janet, and Mom.
The girls from my neighborhood brought dinner and stayed and ate with us.  I understand there were a few more involved, but they couldn't come.  I have some good reading with my subscription to O.  Thank you, you are so thoughtful.  Dinner from Frateli's, we loved it!  We talked and caught up on our families and school.  What a great day.   God is giving me lots of blessings.  I am trying to enjoy each of them.
I am using a walker.  It is a little bit tricky to carry things, but I am figuring how to get around it.  We have a step down to the living room and one up to the hall to the bedrooms and bathroom.  The  carrying something with the walker is tricky and gets harder when you add in the step.  Life is always so interesting. I don't think this recovery could be any easier.  I am so thankful to have the help of my husband, sister, mom, daughter, and friends.  Life is good!
