Ken is sleeping upstairs since Tuesday. He tried a couple of nights in the double bed, but was afraid of jostling me and he was very uncomfortable. So he came down about 6:45 to see the big red dog, Rusty and I, got me fresh water, and left for the day. I laid here and listened to birds along with the street noises and remembered Ken said we had daffodils out front. So I imagined how pretty they are and that Spring is close. Then the neighbors started talking about puppies I think. Sure does bug me when you are eaves dropping and you can't here what they are saying! Our house is waking up. The big red dog, Rusty talked to Bob enough and convinced him it was time for a walk. The decision only came about after much discussion by both of them and finally Bob agreed it was time to walk. He takes good care of Rusty. I am thankful and so is the big red dog!
We have been without heat for 12-15 days. We realized we were having heating issues, Ken looked at it, called Patrick, Patrick looked at it, it was decided that the problem was rare, putting out carbon monoxide, and under warranty. Wow! I am so pleased to have had the problem now instead of next fall because it would of been out of warranty then (probably). So then the part was ordered and would take 10 days. Ikes! Family coming to help out and we have a cold house. Yesterday the part came in, Patrick was over, and now we have heat. Yeah, one more worry taken care of.
Bob and the big red dog are back! He came running down the hall jumped, landed, and laid down in one seemless motion. Then he noticed Lucy scampering out of the room and he was off! As usual she beat him to the top of the stairs.
I am keeping my hands busy during the day. I am staying current on e-mail at home and at school, doing some correspondence, school work, and hand embroidery. Family start wishing for tea towels, some of you will get them!
News on the physical therapist. Wednesday he didn't call and if you will remember I put clothes on! The mall is in the middle of a change of ownership and our new medical took effect on Tuesday. But, we don't have cards yet (or information). So, yesterday the home health called to explain the situation. Which boiled down to no insurance no visit. They didn't want us to have to pay for the visit not knowing our insurance situation. Ken did get some information company name and is hoping to get a card today. Kayla will be here on Saturday and she will check out my progress and I can call on Monday if I have the information and continue my therapy if needed.
Mom and Bob have an appointment at 9:00 so they will be leaving soon. I am trying to decide if I want to get up or stay in bed while they are gone. I woke up with a headache so it is a tough decision. I took a headache pill about 4 something so another might be in order. I hope to take a walk out to the porch to see the daffodils today. I thought of sitting on the back deck in the sun, but Ken said it would be getting cold this afternoon with rain chances. Rain wasn't good according to him because he has several bags of cement in the back of the truck for the shower pan he will build. If I remember he will put a thick rubber liner down and then make a shower pan out of cement. So not much has happened on that project too many other things going on in our lives right now. I plan to celebrate this day!
