Already eight o'clock this morning.  I have been up to the bathroom, talked to the big red dog, Rusty, and gotten my drink of choice for the morning.  The drink of choice is almost gone, the house is still quiet, which means m mom is still asleep because Bob was up when I was up and I am tired of bed.  I am tired of my drink of choice coming from a can and would really like a Sonic! 
Mom and Bob will be going to Seminole for dinner with a brother of a friend from AZ.  So only three for old man night.  If you haven't heard that term it is the nights when Ken's dad comes to dinner.  He is a neat person and has some interesting stories. 
The burn on my neck (from radiatin) is healing nicely.  Nothing like a little hip surgery to distract you from radiation!  Around the burn my neck looks dirty to me.  The burn is pink baby skin.  The peeling skin is gone and now I guess we will wait to see how the pink skin and dirty skin blend in to me.  The rest of the radiation site is losing the pinkness it had and getting more comfortable daily.  It actually has not been at the top of my list of concerns.  Focus!
Well, the hip is healing I am sure.  I am getting around okay.  I am doing my exercises and I am noticing somethings getting easier.  For example: sitting on the toilet hurt at first now it is uncomfortable.  I hope I mentioned I am pooping again, so all is well inside and functioning!  I am very thrilled with the bring your heel to your butt while lying in bed exercise.  (I hope you realize that isn't the technical term, but gives good visual image.) That exercise is getting, well not easy, but so much less strained effort involved.  It is time to do exercises, then the leg wraps can come off,  the ice water can go on the hip, and I will be out of the bed for a while.  I will celebrate the day!
