The Pantry is Empty

What a busy weekend.  I got to enjoy my sewing room on Saturday.  Ken was working and I didn't have a deadline on any project so I just sewed!  I ran a couple of errands, did some laundry, and the dishes.  Today we went to church, Walmart, looked at some open houses, showed the rent house, went  back to church for the bazaar, dinner, and the concert.  Except Ken thought we would be done at 7:30 and told the person who looked at the rent house we could meet them then to rent the house.  So no concert.

Fourteen days of school left.  My class graduates on Tuesday.  This will be a busy week.  I am almost done with screening.  I think I have four items left to be screened.  Then I have to get the info put into the computer.  Then there is the issue of printing for the cum folder.  I also have to deal with inventory, teaching, and cleaning up the room for the summer.

Lindsay, my granddaughter, is coming over once a week and working.  She is helping me get my sewing room organized.  We are working on getting everything out of there.  We also have another project going on in the pantry.  Everything is emptied out of the pantry onto tables and counters.  Ken has to hook the 220 wires into the electrical box, which is located in the pantry.  He is going to  put shelves in there that will have all the appliances that won't fit on the counter so they will be easy to use.  I am excited about that.  I hope the various sizes of crock pots will be on pull out shelves so they will be easy to use.  We will see.  A week from Tuesday I am hosting bunco.  That should be interesting.

Angel Lemon Pie

We have spent some time away from home.  We spent spring break in Houston installing the wood floor and tile in the bathrooms with Haley & Duane.  Then we went Easter weekend to Plano and McKinney.  We celebrated birthdays with Zachary who turned 3, Madison who turned 9, and Haley and Kayla.  Then we went to early service with Janet and she cooked us a great lunch.

Angel Lemon Pie
During this time I found a lump, had it biopsied, got an ultrasound, and found out it was okay.  I do get to go back May 9th to have a re-check.  It was a long weekend.
While we were in both Houston and McKinney, Austin's girlfriend, Nicole, made some yummy lemon meringue pies.  I enjoyed these very much and they reminded me of my grandmother's Angel Lemon Pie.  So I made one yesterday.  Every bit as good as I remembered!
I am almost done with the pink and white chevron striped baby blanket.
I think I just gave in to the curly mussed look.  I washed my hair last night.  I stayed up reading until 12:30 finishing a book.   I didn't really have time to straighten my hair this morning, so it is wild looking.  I just finished the 13th book in a series of 15 books that I am reading.  If you enjoy a good story read the Virgin River Series by Robyn Carr.  I am really enjoying them.
